NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program: Honorable Mention
Andrew Boldt “3-Z” Teaching Award
August 2020
The Meyer-Beers essay contest aimed to raise awareness about the high prevalence of mental health conditions and neurodiversity in academia and to crowdsource innovative solutions for supporting people with mental health conditions at Johns Hopkins. It was hosted by The Disability Health Research Center and the JHSPH Mental Health Grad Network. It was sponsored by a Johns Hopkins Ten by Twenty Grant.

The NSF GRFP is a prestigious fellowship that thousands of graduate students across disciplines apply fro annually. I won Honorable Mention for a proposal of using Direct Brain Stimulation in the treatment of MDD and for furthering the field of personalized mental health care. This research proposal has since evolved into my current thesis project, which uses computational models and machine learning to improve treatment non-invasively.
April 2017
The"3-Z" Teaching Award is granted by the Purdue Electrical Engineering Department to recognize outstanding undergraduate TAs. It is a memorial to Andrew Boldt, a previous UTA whose "zest for life, his zany 'make learning fun' personality, and his zealous promotion of professionalism" made him an outstanding student and TA. I was awarded this honor after serving as a TA in Digital Design lab and receiving stellar reviews from my students.
